Pre-Sale Engineer

We are looking for a strong and passionate pre-sales engineer with a proven business orientation.

This person will ensure that Magal delivers the best value proposition according to the customers' needs and challenges, during the discovery process and throughout the customer life cycle, in order to maximize both revenue generation and user experience from sales opportunities and tenders. 

This experienced professional will establish the team’s methodologies and streamline our sales processes. As a Pre-sale at Magal, you’ll play a critical role in helping our prospects understand the value of our solutions and products. Using your deep product knowledge, expertise in how companies and professionals use creation platforms, users’ business growth requirements, and objection handling in customer interactions, you’ll be a strategic member of our team, supporting and working closely with our Customer Experience and Marketing teams while managing the sales processes.

As a pre-sales engineer, you will:

  • Reading complex tender documents and creating cost effective, end-to-end HLS solutions based on the requirements.

  • Creating complex pricing proposals in Excel, complying with company formats and requirements.

  • Creating innovative security concepts for potential customers.

  • Be the front line on any technical matters with potential customers and lead the technical aspects of the opportunity through the sales process along with the sales team.

  • Work and interact with all company departments such as sales, marketing, business development and management.

  • Presenting security solutions to potential customers.

  • Presenting pricing proposals in management approvals sessions.

  • Providing detailed planning services and supporting factors in the company (finance, procurement, project management, development, integration, production, and service) in the implementation of integration projects of defense, security, and safety (HSE) systems

  • Able to travel according to business needs

  • Full-time in the central area


Required Qualifications:

  • An experienced Pre/Post Sales Engineer or System engineer in Multi-disciplinary Projects, including customer facing experience.

  • At least 3-5 years of Pre/Post Sale experience in HLS market.

  • Experienced in critical sites’ security projects based on Command & Control software.

  • Experienced in HLS / Security low-voltage systems design based on video management systems (VMS), video analytics (VMD/CA), face recognition, Access Control, PIDS, Alarm Systems, surveillance Systems, CCTV along with computing and communications, C&C systems

  • Vast experience in responding to tenders, RFP, RFI, RFQ.

  • Knowledge and experience reading and understanding specifications, contracts, and customer requirements, building solutions architecture, Technical description of the architecture, concept, and solution, selecting components, pricing projects and creating complex proposals.

  • Ability to select, and handle business relationships and commercial negotiations with suppliers and partners in Israel and abroad

  • Full control of MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio software

  • Fast learner, team player with significant communication skills.

  • Hebrew – Mother tongue

  • English – very high level

  • Additional language - advantage
